The ultimate Brunch dresscode

A GUIDE: Mastering the art of dressing for a brunch such as the Tanqueray Flavour Fiesta, is not as commonplace as one might think. The brunch dresscode demands an air of class and elegance, steering clear of anything overly revealing.

If your weekend plans are still up in the air, worry not! There are numerous brunches set to unfold this coming weekend, from the Best of Kampala to Stone Haven, Le Chateau and The Kampala Style Brunch, all promising a perfect weekend plot infused with the latest fashion trends.

Then there is the Tanqueray Flavour Fiesta due next month at the Maze – Lugogo. Tanqueray as one of the most premium gins is disrupting the meal occasion as the perfect accompaniment in this space (brunch).

Class, elegance

Over the years, I have noticed that mastering the art of dressing for a brunch is not as commonplace as one might think. The brunch dresscode demands an air of class and elegance, steering clear of anything overly revealing. For those who may be unsure of how to navigate this clothing terrain, fear not – here is a comprehensive guide to help you ace your brunch look.

Explore matching set options

Given that brunch typically unfolds in the daytime, your attire should exude vibrance and elegance. Enter matching sets; an excellent choice for such affairs. Depending on the textures you choose, matching sets can create the perfect ensemble. Elevate the look with colourful heels or sneakers, allowing your jewellery to add the finishing touches. Remember, the goal is a classy and tasteful appearance, so ensure your bottoms maintain an appropriate length, avoiding the unintended transformation into a nightclub aesthetic.

Keep it playful

A playful and fun look is a definite way to triumph in the brunch fashion game. Whether you opt for a dress, skater skirt, or shorts, inject elements of fun such as florals, cutouts, fringes, or tassels to infuse whimsy into your ensemble. Given that brunch often involves dancing, choose footwear that is both cute and practical because nothing dampens spirits like a girl struggling in painful heels. As you assemble your accessories, do not forget those chic sunglasses; they will prove invaluable for capturing that Instagram-worthy moment.

This weekend, let your brunch attire mirror the lively atmosphere of the event. With matching sets and playful elements, you are sure to turn heads and make a lasting impression at the most fashionable brunch spots in town.

Embrace the daytime glamour and relish in the opportunity to showcase your unique style. Cheers to a weekend filled with delectable bites, refreshing drinks and of course, fabulous fashion.
